What is a pier pass fee?
The Pier Pass fee is charged to containers that are being moved in or out of the terminal during peak hours at the port of Los Angeles and Long Beach. The purpose of this fee is to encourage cargo movement during less busier hours to reduce congestion and improve air quality.
