History of Lax-brom Shipping

Lax-brom Shipping is a family owned and operated global shipping company that was founded in 2001 by Donna Betts.

The name Laxbrom is a tribute to Donna's middle name and her father's first name, Laxbrom Reed Berlin, who, by chance, served as a merchant seaman during World War II. The founding of Laxbrom Shipping took place shortly after 9/11, a time that presented several challenges to the fledgling company. Donna's sons were instrumental in the company's growth, dedicating long hours to establish its foundation. Today, Eric Betts, who was key to the company’s early development, manages daily operations alongside his son, Jericho Betts, who has already made a significant impact. Together, the three generations are united in their vision of making Laxbrom Shipping a global leader in freight transportation.
